Dock Packerson Davis, son of Asa Davis & Susanna Whitehead Davis, with second wife Rhoda and their two children, Nellie & Monte. Dock was born in 1867 in Hampton, Carter County, TN and moved to Bount County, Townsend, TN around 1930. We do not know who his first wife was. All his children were borned in Hampton before they came to Blount County. Dock's family worked at a Saw Mill in North Carolina.The Timber business was booming there when Dock moved to Townsend. The Little River Lumber Co. was logging the Smoky Mts at that time. Dock died from T B 1933. They are buried at Brickey Cemetery. Dock had two sons by his first (unknown) wife named James and George. Rhoda and Dock had eight children: Monte, Nellie, Frank, Tempia, Fred, Mary, Minnie and Hazel.
